He also loved being a part of Corvettes of Clarksville since July 2015, the Welcome Home Veterans Week, and TVETS Annual Veterans on the Hill.

Russ was born December 24, 1947, in Florala, Alabama. Russ and his wife Bridgette joined Corvettes of Clarksville along with their black 1999 C5 convertible which Russ enjoyed showing off to Corvette enthusiasts.
